Viognier L' Autantique Pay D'Oc. Foncalieu

Les Vignobles Foncalieu is the worthy successor to the 'Vignerons Libres de Maraussan', the first French cooperative winery, founded in 1901 by 128 Languedoc winegrowers.  Jean Jaures himself opened the winery and acquired a share in it .  In 1995 the cooperative became Vignerons du Pays d'Enserune and a few years later it joined Vignobles Foncalieu (created in 1967)' uniting the winery in Thezan-les Corbieres, and Vignerons de la Cite.  And so, 1000 authentic estate-owning winegrowing families became one.

 

The Languedoc is the largest winemaking region on the planet is also a land of culture, art & gastronomy.  This mosaic of terriors running alongside the Mediterranean is home to a broad spectrum of grape varieties.
