Pinot Nero DOC Venezia Cantine Pizzolato

The vines at the Pizzolato estate are on pebbly banks of river deposit, irrigated by concrete channels that installed in the 1950s during Italy's reconstruction post-war. Settimo also has a handful of neighbouring contracted growers that he has worked with for years, all of whom farm organically, and all to his exacting standards.

 

Settimo Pizzolato is among the first producers in Italy to have chosen organic winery management. The entrepreneurial cornerstone of a winery that has developed considerably over the years thanks to the courage in its investments and forward-thinking. Today the family winery is run by owner Settimo, his children, Federico and Stefania and his wife Sabrina with little Edoardo.
