The Château of Maucamps was, in the 18th century, the residence of the noble Lalanne family and since belonged successively to various proprietors. Since 1954 the vineyard and the major part of the estate has been in the ownership of the Tessandier family. Situated near to Margaux, bordering part of the Château Cantemerle vineyard of (5th growth classé 1855), the Château Maucamps is made up of 15 hectares, 55% of which is Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 5% of Petit Verdot, with an average vine age of 20 years.
