BIN END - Penfolds Grange Bin 95 1992

90% Shiraz, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. This vintage from the Barossa Valley (including the century-old vines of the Kalimna Vineyard) Coonawarra and McLaren Valey, combines the intensely rich fruit and ripe tannins of Shiraz with the fragrance and complementary nuances of new fine-grained American oak. Partial barrel fermentation takes place at the tail-end of primary fermentation. Matured in new American oak hogsheads for eighteen months.
