The Biegler Mueller winery is located in the middle of Rhine-Hessian Hills, in the immediate vicinity of the well-known ancient wine-producing towns Oppen Hein and Nierstein.
Their wines display typical characters of this wine growing region, particularly the strong harmonious balance between sweet fruity and acidity.

After taking over the winery in 1972 Biegler-Mueller was among the first to specializes in the Rhine-Hesse region with red wines and in 1979 became the first to plant Dornfelder, Pinot Noir and Portuguese in the region.

Biegler-Mueller have twice entered thier for competition and twice reached the maximum.
In 2001 four Gold Awards, one Silver and one Bronze.
In 2002 Reinhold Biegler-Muller surpassed the previous year's performance with seven of the declared wines receiving five Gold Awards and one Silver Award.
