Bodegas Pascual Toso
Established in 1890 by Pascual Toso from Piemonte in Italy, this is one
of the oldest and most prestigious wineries in Argentina, and since its
foundation has been characterised by their ongoing innovation.
All fruit is handpicked at optimum ripeness, with the grapes for the reserve
wines coming from vines over 40-year-old, with only natural yeasts used.
Toso is recognised as one of the top wineries in the country, and was
awarded IWSC Argentinean Wine Producer of the Year in 2007, as well as
winning numerous international wine show medals every year. Star performer
last year was the Pascual Toso Malbec 2008, which won four trophies, two
awards and a gold medal at the IWC 2009, and silver medals in IWSC and
Decanter. This 2009 vintage has already made its mark this year with a
silver medal at the IWSC and Best in Class.
